I've been in a funk lately.  Skipped out on work for a few days--can't quite tell if I'm physically sick or if I'm mentally sick or a combination of the two, but I've been totally run down and lathargic. I've had plenty of time to do arty things for my art school portfolio (and I haven't done a damn thing but eat a bunch of ice cream and sleep on my way-too-comfortable couch)

Soooooooo........

In order to get me out of this bizaar-o mode, I'm going to make the goal of posting one artsy thing to this blog for the entire month of March.  I'm hoping at least a few of these quickies will result in a few workable art pieces that I can use or expand on for my portfolio.  I have a little over two months to get this shit together.  I think I'm more stressed at this point about NOT getting in then I am at getting all my shit together on time.

Make it work

Today I bought an Illustrator CS5 classroom in a book, renewed my Lynda.com account and decided it's damn time to share my ten year old poetry selections.  I'm gonna mash it all together and create a great word-art portfolio to submit with my application to the School at the Art Institute of Chicago. 

(I failed 3....not 1, not 2...3(!) economics quizes in a row.  I'm three weeks into the semester.  It took me less than a month to realize that a common-sense business degree was completely and utterly unobtainable.)

And so back to art school I go. 

I also ate wonderful sushi with the wonderfuler JenC. We're gonna collaborate on an art project.  Working title: Color My Anger.  Awwwweeesomeeee!
